5th Bluegrass Festival Birkenried (Germany)

Thanks to Friedrich Hog, vice president of Country & Western Friends Kötz 1982 e.V. and chairman of the German Bluegrass Music Association for this nice announcement:

Strictly Bluegrass (D)
Country & Western Friends Kötz 1982 eV association in southern Germany are proud to present their 5th Bluegrass Festival of Friday, 6 through Sunday, 8 September, in the culture greenhouse Birkenried in 89423 Gundelfingen-Birkenried, Germany.
After the four previous successful Bluegrass meetings at the same location the Country & Western Friends Kötz again have  invited popular artists for this year, promising a nice event featuring six bands over three days, therefore the event rather deserves the name "Bluegrass Festival". The "Bluegrass greenhouse" is located along the B-16 between Gunzburg and Gundelfingen, at the five-headed giraffe "Monika".

Horse Mountain (D)
On Friday from 7:30 pm, Horse Mountain from Kusterdingen and The Mr. Big Band from Tübingen will open the festival. The acoustic duo Horse Mountain is named after the Swabian Ross- (= horse) berg (= mountain). With guitar, banjo and bass Birgit and Dieter Stoll take their audience on a journey through the Bluegrass, folk and early country music. The Mr. Big Band built around Dobro Player Martin Gross stands for acoustic Americana music. Besides Bluegrass, folk, swing, country, blues, pop and rock are found in this vibrant mix of music, played on acoustic instruments such as guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, fiddle and bass.
