Mumford and Sons win Brit Award

Thanks to Richard Thompson, a long-standing free-lance writer about bluegrass music matters and correspondent for bluegrasstoday.com for this wonderful bit of news:
Mumford and Sons win Brit award

Mumford and Sons picked up the Best British Group award at the awards show held at the O2 Arena on Wednesday night (February 20) in London, England.

The Telegraph daily newspaper had this to say of the band and the success that the band has enjoyed this year ….
"The whole world loves the Mumfords. They love their banjos and their passion and their cute British accents. And why not? As we saw from their virile performance, they are purveyors of strong, meaningful songs delivered with great gusto. The Americans love them so much, they gave them the ultimate Grammy for Album of the Year .."

During the show Mumford & Sons performed their hit song I Will Wait.
