First all-Europe Wernick Method Jam Camp in Prague, 22-24 Mar. 2013

In a long interview on Bluegrass Today, Peter 'Dr Banjo' Wernick talks to Richard Thompson about his forthcoming Jam Camp in Prague in March - the first to take place in Europe.

The first all-Europe Wernick Method Jam Camp will be held on 22-24 Mar. 2013 at the 3-star Hotel Svornost, Prague (CZ), the weekend following the 5th European Bluegrass Summit (15-17 Mar.). At the 4th Summit, held last year in Bühl, Germany, resolutions were passed in favour of encouraging and helping festivals to facilitate jamming at their events, and in favour of supporting a Wernick Method initiative in Europe. The present EBMA chairman, Petr Brandejs, became a certified Wernick Method instructor last summer.

Registrations for the Jam Camp are being accepted now. The total cost is €175; a payment of €60 secures a place on the course. More details, and a great deal about the experience and thinking that went into developing the Wernick Method, can be read here.
