Sons of Navarone #1 at La Roche

Bluegrass in Belgium reports, live from the French Alps:

We're very proud to announce that the Sons of Navarone (B; above, photo by Ann Janssen) were voted 1st by the international jury at the European bluegrass band competition at La Roche-sur-Foron. Lazy Tater (NL) were 2nd and Candy Floss (SK) 3rd.

After the award ceremony, the Sons were joined by Ron Snippe of Lazy Tater to play a set (as Jef Van Peer had to fly home earlier on). There were about 35 seconds to prepare a set with Ron, but he did really great on guitar and harmony singing. Thanks, Ron, and thanks to the La Roche Festival.
