Strong shoots in Swiss spring

Kent Miller of the Swiss Bluegrass Music Association (SBMA) reports:

The dynamic little Swiss bluegrass scene is looking forward to more highlights this spring. The big festival on 19 May in Willisau has become a traditional highpoint of the year while continuing to be innovative with bands from Switzerland, Poland, and Germany supporting headliner Alecia Nugent (right). Spring Festival Willisau is a great way to spend a day in central Switzerland.

Oh My Darling is here in March for two gigs. In other news, Sue Thompson is here in March for a workshop and Chris Jones is doing one in May. All of the jams are still going on every month. The SBMA is working on their second Jam Book of songs. The SBMA radio show continues, with new shows with various bluegrass themes every week. Playlists and information for sending in CDs, requests, and information can be found on the SBMA website.

Just got back from winter vacation. Have a nice spring!
