The coming bluegrass season in France

Christopher Howard-Williams of the France Bluegrass Musique Association reports:

The 30th Trad en Fête will take place at La Grange Rouge on 8-10 June. Bluegrass and French folk come together for a weekend of concerts and jams. This is in the Burgundy region well known for lovely Bresse chicken and delicious wines. More info at the FBMA website.

La Roche Bluegrass Festival will be from 2 August to 5 August, with Ronnie Bowman headlining on Saturday night. The workshop will be run by Hickory Project again from 31 July to 2 August. More info at the La Roche website.

If you are around the Geneva/French Alps area in May, you can catch the Gibson Brothers at La Roche on 7 May. Entrance is free - we are hoping many will come and contribute on their way out!

The Punch Brothers made many friends when they played in Paris in January, opening for Amos Lee, whose fans appreciated the energy, style, and brilliance of our bluegrass relations.
