African Banjo Safari Workshop, 1-9 Nov. 2012

Thanks to Kevin Dooley of Idube Photo Safaris, based in New Mexico, USA, for news of a very unusual opportunity for banjo players - a Banjo Safari Workshop in Africa, with instruction by Ross Nickerson (USA; photo), running from 1 to 9 November 2012.

This project aims to provide a first-class safari, spending mornings and afternoons among the prolific wildlife of the African bush, combined with a mid-day banjo workshop every day - all at a very affordable rate. Six of the eight places are already reserved (four banjo players, a mandolin player, and one spouse), so only two vacancies remain. Pricing information and other details (together with an introduction by Ross) can be seen here.

Kevin, who is an established professional photographer of thirty years' standing, has been playing banjo for just over a year and already has three banjos.
