Red Wine: new CD and US tour, 16-25 Feb. 2012

Italian bluegrass Band Red Wine is ready to take off for a ten-days US tour to launch its new CD RED, which will be released in the US on 16 February.

The album contains thirteen tracks taken by great past and contemporary songwriters like Ernest Tubb, Don Reno & Red Smiley, Marty Stuart, John Fogerty, Liz Meyer, Niall Toner & Keith Sewell, Jon Weisberger, Christoffer Ollsson, Anne & Pete Sibley, Ben Wiship, plus a Beatles cover, an instrumental by banjo player Silvio Ferretti, and a 'Mamma Mia' medley.

Special guests on the album are Tony Trischka on banjo, Josh Swift on dobro, Annie Staninec on fiddle, Daniele Bovo on cello, Daniele Zalaffi on drums, and Ilaria Olcese on harmony vocals.
