Bluegrass in Germany - and in Cashbox

The current edition of Cashbox, the online magazine of the music industry, carries two major articles on bluegrass music in Germany.

'Bluegrass scene - Germany', by Walter Fuchs (left), gives a 2,600-word history of the development of bluegrass music in Germany since 1945, dealing with many topics including the influence of the American Forces Network, the popular image of country music, and the growth of bands, radio shows, and festivals in Germany, and in adjacent countries.

'3rd European Bluegrass Summit held in Buehl/Germany', by Angelika Torrie and Dagfinn Pedersen of the EBMA board and Walter Fuchs, is an illustrated report of the proceedings and achievements of the Summit - including the setting-up of the EBMA Festival Network. A photo from the finale of the accompanying concert, celebrating ten years of the EBMA, appears below.
