Germany goes Bluegrass

Germany finally has its own national Bluegrass association: The German Bluegrass Music Association (www.bluegrass-germany.de) was formed during the 8th International Bluegrass Festival in Bühl on Saturday, 15th May 2010 (2pm approx.). The board consists of Friedrich Hog (chairman), Uli Grube (vice chairperson), Eberhard Finke, Volker Fisher, Walter Fuchs, and Michael Zumstein. All the best wishes go out to our colleagues, who will hold their first board meeting during the 2nd Munich Bluegrass Festival on 9-11 July 2010.

The Bluegrass Festival in Bühl -Baden (Germany) was a huge success and many rave reports appeared about it in the local newspapers for several days. The 9th edition is already in the works and it is highly recommended to keep the date of 13th-14th May 2011 open.
