Coastline Bluegrass Music Event, 4-6 June 2010

Bluegrass Stuff

The Coastline Bluegrass Music Event in Wales was UKBluegrass.com's 'Favourite Bluegrass Festival of 2007', and has since been more than once among the 'Top ten summer festivals' lists of the Guardian and Daily Telegraph newspapers in the UK. Now in its fifth year, the Event is going from strength to strength. Its latest press release announces:

The Event offers extended workshops for all the acoustic bluegrass instruments, starting with an introduction to bluegrass for beginners and those who have come from other genres, right through to the advanced levels. The workshops offer a unique opportunity for people to participate in fun-filled, informative, instrument and vocal workshops, which start them on the road to playing music.

The tutors are experienced band members with a wealth of knowledge who also perform in the concerts and are on hand over the full weekend. This provides great opportunities for the participants to learn and get together in traditional ‘picking sessions’ with so many talented people on site.

The concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings (8.00 p.m.) are headlined by two of Europe’s finest bluegrass bands, Bluegrass Stuff (Italy) and Rawhide (Belgium), and the UK's Baker’s Fabulous Boys.

Prices: Weekend tickets £38; Friday evening concert £8; Saturday evening concert £12
