Wells Fargo & the Nightingale

Cousin Marcellus, Jim (Singer) Wells, Big Boy Wells, the Nightingale, and Fargo

Wells Fargo & the Nightingale is a new band on the Italian scene, playing 1950s stomping hillbilly stringband music with a strong bluegrass influence. As well as vintage country-bluegrass classics, they play original songs by their lead singer Antonella 'The Nightingale' Tambakiotis, and bass player Wainer 'Fargo' Rimondini, who both come from the rockabilly band T-Model Boogie.

The band also comprises Mauro 'Jim (Singer) Wells' Toniaka (lead guitar, 6-string banjo), who also plays rock'n'roll in the P-51 Airplanes; Andy 'Big Boy Wells' Damiano (mandolin); and Marcello 'Cousin Marcellus' Ghirri (5-string banjo), forming 'the ultimate boppin' hillbilly western frontier sound'!
