The Oldenburgisches Staatstheater is a classical theatre capable of seating 700 and with fantastic acoustic properties. Karl reports: 'As far as I know this is the most classy venue ever used for a bluegrass concert in Germany. The director of the Staatstheater is regarding this as an experiment that, if successful, could develop into a series of annual bluegrass concerts on the stage of the Staatstheater. The event has been made possible by two corporate sponsors from Oldenburg.'

Jason Thomas, formerly a member of Kane's River, will be playing mandolin and fiddle with the band, in place of David Harvey.
